Checklist for Leaving an Abusive Situation
Here are some helpful tips from the National Women’s Health Information Center. They provide a rundown of the items and possessions to get together when you are planning on leaving an abusive situation. The National Woman Health Information Center recommends that you keep these items in a safe place until you are ready to leave, or try to have them ready in the event that you need to leave suddenly. If you have children be sure that you take them to ensure that you do not leave them in a potentially harmful situation or a situation where they can be used as leverage.
